Welcome to Issue 8

I made myself a promise this year to try and fish a little bit more. To be honest, I do this at the start of each season and never seem to end up managing it but I am pleased that I have done it this year. The really neat thing is that I have been doing it in the company of friends, both old and new, and in places I haven't fished before.

Jim and I hooked up last week and while he was busy kicking my backside on the river we both decided that although heading out for a fish on your own can be good fun there is nothing like sharing some fishing in the company of friends. This was done over a tailgate bacon sandwich that I wouldn't be eating if he wasn't there. We shared a rod, caught some fish and had a good time. This was despite less than ideal conditions but it didn't really matter.

Here in the UK, it feels like summer might be here at last, so here's to some good fishing. Whatever is your thing we hope you get a chance to get out there and enjoy it.

So here is Issue 8 of Eat, Sleep, Fish. We hope you like the mix of articles and thanks once again for the great stories from you, the readers. This is something we wanted from the very beginning; somewhere anglers could share their fishing trips.
